Macron confirms first French soldier killed in war — CWO Arnaud Frion, Erbil drone attack
French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed the first French military death of the Iran war. Chief Warrant Officer Arnaud Frion 'died for France' in a drone attack in the Erbil region of Iraqi Kurdistan. Several other French soldiers were also wounded. Macron called the attack 'unacceptable.' France had deployed troops to Erbil for training missions with Iraqi partners.
