Hezbollah fired long-range missiles toward the Gaza border area of southern Israel on March 18 — the first time in the current conflict that Hezbollah has targeted the area ~200 km from Lebanon. Sirens sounded in Ashkelon and several communities near the Gaza Strip border. Projectiles struck open areas; no injuries reported. A separate rocket impact caused damage but no injuries in Kiryat Shmona.
