Israel launches new 'broad wave' of strikes on Tehran — infrastructure targeted

·Tehran, Iran

Israel's military announces a new 'broad wave of strikes' against military and government infrastructure in Tehran. Explosions are reported across the capital. Reuters confirms strikes are hitting authority infrastructure. US and Western officials simultaneously announce that air supremacy has been achieved — Israeli and US jets now fly uncontested over Iranian territory.

Reuters reports Israel announced a new 'broad wave' of strikes against military infrastructure in Tehran on the morning of Day 6. Explosions are reported in multiple districts. Strikes target what Israel describes as 'authority infrastructure' — government ministry buildings, communications hubs, and remaining IRGC command nodes in the capital. Simultaneously, unnamed US and Western officials briefed reporters that they assess Iran's military capabilities have been 'significantly destroyed' — Israeli and US jets are now able to fly 'uncontested' over Iranian territory. This declaration of air supremacy — if accurate — is the most significant military assessment of the conflict so far. It means Phase 1 (suppression of air defences) is effectively complete and Phase 2 (systematic destruction of remaining military-economic infrastructure) has begun. Israel's military has also slightly relaxed wartime safety rules, shifting from 'essential' to 'limited' civilian activities — signalling confidence that IRGC ballistic missile threat is declining.
