The IDF confirmed four soldiers killed in combat in south Lebanon. All four have now been named: Captain Noam Madmoni, Staff Sergeant Ben Cohen, Staff Sergeant Maxsim Entis, and Staff Sergeant Gilad Harel (21, from Modiin, Nahal Brigade Reconnaissance Unit). The IDF previously stated three soldiers were from the same battalion and a fourth was named separately. One additional soldier was severely wounded and a reservist moderately wounded in the same engagement. The four killed in one south Lebanon incident is the highest single-engagement IDF casualty event in the Lebanon theater since the Iran war began February 28. Hezbollah (Iran's primary Lebanon proxy) has maintained daily rocket fire and conducted ATGM attacks on IDF armour throughout the conflict. The IDF simultaneously issued a 25-mile south Lebanon mass evacuation order on the same day, signaling further operational escalation in the Lebanon theater.
