IDF strikes IRGC Imam Hossein University Tehran — BM wind tunnels and chemical weapons R&D hit

The IDF announced on March 30 that it had struck in recent days an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps military facility embedded within Imam Hossein University in central Tehran. The university is described by the IDF as 'one of the IRGC's central military infrastructure sites,' used under civilian cover for weapons research and development including work tied to ballistic missiles and other advanced capabilities. The specific targets struck included: (1) underground wind tunnels used for ballistic missile aerodynamic testing; (2) a chemistry centre involved in chemical weapons research; and (3) a central engineering complex tied to weapons development. The IDF said the site had been targeted in previous strikes and that its direct IRGC affiliation made it a legitimate target. The strikes were aimed at 'significantly degrading Iran's weapons production and development capabilities.' The announcement aligns with IDF's declared campaign of targeting Iran's weapons manufacturing base alongside command and regime infrastructure. Imam Hossein University (named after the Shia imam) is affiliated with the IRGC and has long been identified by Western intelligence as a dual-use facility.
