Isfahan University of Technology confirmed it was struck by US-Israeli airstrikes for the second time during the current war, in a statement carried by Iran's state-linked Fars news agency. 'Around 2 p.m. (1030 GMT) today, Isfahan University of Technology was targeted for the second time by a brutal airstrike of Zionist-American aggressors,' the university said. The attack on one of the university's research institutes caused damage to several other buildings and lightly injured four university staff members. Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) is Iran's preeminent technical university specializing in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial technology — fields with well-documented dual-use defense applications. IUT faculty have been associated with Iran's ballistic missile and drone programs in open-source research. Isfahan as a whole has been a major IDF target throughout the war: the city hosts Iran's primary air defense production facilities, military aviation infrastructure, and the Natanz nuclear complex is nearby. The repeated strikes on IUT suggest a deliberate IDF/USAF targeting campaign against Iran's defense-research pipeline, not just operational military hardware.
