Kuwait's interior ministry arrested six people (5 Kuwaitis, 1 other) linked to Hezbollah who were allegedly planning 'assassinations targeting symbols and leaders of the state' and had recruited others. Hezbollah issued a third denial: 'Hezbollah has no presence in Kuwait or any other country.' At least the third set of Hezbollah-linked arrests in Kuwait in recent weeks.

The US has not commented on the Kuwait arrests. Gulf states are increasingly alert to Iranian proxy infiltration as the Iran war widens Hezbollah and PMF operations across the region.
Iran has not commented on Kuwait's Hezbollah arrests. Kuwait is among the Gulf states facing Iranian-linked militant activity since the outbreak of the Iran-Israel war.
