Kuwait arrests 6 Hezbollah-linked suspects planning assassinations of state leaders — Hezbollah denies presence

Kuwait's interior ministry announced the arrest of six people — five Kuwaiti nationals and one other — linked to Hezbollah who were allegedly planning assassinations targeting state symbols and leaders and had recruited others for these missions. Hezbollah denied the accusations for the third time: 'Hezbollah reiterates its complete denial of the accusations. Hezbollah has no presence in the state of Kuwait or any other country — the accusations are removed from reality and devoid of truth.' The arrests are at least the third such announcement from Kuwait in recent weeks. The Gulf state has become a focal point for Hezbollah infiltration concerns as the Iran war widens Iranian proxy operations across the Gulf region.
