An Iranian missile intercepted near Nevatim Air Base left a Soroka Medical Center doctor in moderate condition after fragments struck his house in the Bedouin village of Alsira. His wife and infant daughter are in good condition. 17 additional people are being treated for severe anxiety at Soroka. Earlier reports included a 2-month-old infant and 2 others injured in the same Negev Bedouin community.

Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba reported that Dr. Asra Abu Rafa, a staff physician in his 30s, was wounded in moderate condition after Iranian missile fragments struck near his home in the Bedouin village of Alsira. He had just returned from a shift at Soroka when an Iranian missile aimed at Israel was intercepted near Nevatim Air Base and fragments fell in the area. His wife and infant daughter are in good condition. Seventeen additional people are receiving treatment at Soroka for severe anxiety following the attack. The Alsira/Nevatim area is in the northern Negev, approximately 20 km northeast of Beersheba. Combined with the 2-month-old infant and two other adults initially reported injured, the missile fragment incident in the Negev Bedouin region has produced multiple casualties across two communities.
