IDF kills Daoud Alizadeh, Quds Force Lebanon branch commander, in Tehran

Israel reported that an IDF airstrike in Tehran killed Daoud Alizadeh, the commander of the IRGC Quds Force's Lebanon branch. Alizadeh served as the primary liaison between Tehran and Hezbollah's military command in Lebanon, coordinating Quds Force support for Hezbollah operations including weapons transfers, operational planning, and command guidance. His death in Tehran — rather than in Lebanon — reflects the IDF's strategy of targeting IRGC command and logistics infrastructure inside Iran rather than only degrading Hezbollah forces on the ground in Lebanon. The killing removes a critical command node in the Iran-Hezbollah coordination chain at a moment when IDF is simultaneously conducting deep Lebanon ground operations and daily aerial strikes across both Lebanon and Iran.
