IDF kills two acting heads of Iran's military intelligence command in Tehran airstrike
Two senior Iranian intelligence officers — Abdollah Jalali-Nasab and Amir Shariat — were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Friday targeting a facility of the intelligence directorate of Iran's Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters (Iran's military emergency command). The IDF announced Saturday that both had been appointed as acting co-heads of the unit after its previous chief Salah Asadi was killed in the opening strikes of the war on February 28. The killings continue a systematic decapitation campaign against Iran's military command structure.
Actor responses
The IDF struck the intelligence directorate of Khatam-al Anbiya, killing acting heads Jalali-Nasab and Shariat. These were key figures in Iran's military command. Eliminating Iran's wartime command leadership degrades their ability to coordinate operations.
The martyrdom of our commanders only strengthens our resolve. For every officer killed, the IRGC's mission continues. The enemy believes it can paralyze us by killing leaders — it cannot. Iran's military command remains fully operational.
The assassination of intelligence officers in Tehran is a desperate act by an enemy that cannot break Iran's spirit. Iran's defense capability is unaffected. The martyrs will be avenged.
