Iranian Cluster Bomb Kills 1, Wounds 2 in Central Israel — Yehud, Holon, Bat Yam Hit

An Iranian ballistic missile carrying cluster munitions impacted across central Israel, scattering submunitions across at least six sites in the densely populated Tel Aviv suburbs of Yehud, Holon, and Bat Yam. At a construction site in Yehud, two men in their 40s were critically wounded by shrapnel — one succumbed to his wounds, becoming the 11th Israeli civilian killed by Iranian missile attacks since the war began February 28. The second man was taken to hospital in critical condition. At a separate location in central Israel, a man in his 30s was seriously wounded. Magen David Adom confirmed three casualties across two sites. Police reported at least six impact sites from the cluster munition dispersal pattern. Cluster munitions — which scatter dozens to hundreds of submunitions over a wide area — are particularly dangerous in urban environments, where they strike indiscriminately across large areas and leave unexploded ordnance that can injure civilians for days after an attack. Iran's use of cluster munitions against civilian-populated Tel Aviv suburbs represents one of the most indiscriminate attacks of the war.
