IDF massive strike wave — Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz — 170+ bombs dropped — new stage of war

The IDF announced that the Israeli Air Force struck dozens of Iranian military sites across Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz in a major new strike wave. Dozens of IAF fighter jets participated in the operation, dropping over 170 bombs on the targets. In Tehran: the headquarters of the IRGC Quds Force was struck. In Isfahan: a surface-to-air missile production and storage site was destroyed, along with several Iranian air defense systems. In Shiraz: additional military infrastructure was struck. The IDF described these strikes as 'part of a new stage of the war aimed at deepening the blow to the core arrays of the Iranian terror regime and its foundations.' Video footage circulated showing Iranians in Isfahan shouting 'Allahu Akbar' as explosions were heard. The targeting of the Quds Force HQ in Tehran is significant — the Quds Force is the IRGC unit responsible for all proxy operations across the Middle East (Hezbollah, Hamas, PMF, Houthis). Its Tehran HQ coordinates the entire Iranian regional network. The SAM production site in Isfahan being struck degrades Iran's ability to replenish air defense systems destroyed earlier in the campaign. Shiraz — Iran's fifth-largest city and home to major IRGC logistics — is struck for the first time. The scale (170+ bombs, dozens of jets) makes this one of the largest single strike waves of the 10-day war.
