IDF Strikes IRGC Space HQ and Khayyam Satellite Command in Tehran — 50 Ammo Bunkers, Basij Base Also Hit

The IDF confirmed strikes on the IRGC Space and Satellite Headquarters in Tehran, describing it as a reception, transmission, and research centre for the Iranian Space Agency affiliated with the regime's military. The HQ included research facilities and a command-and-control structure for the Khayyam satellite — launched by Iran in August 2022 and used by the IRGC to advance terror activities and monitor Israel and regional countries. Destroying the Khayyam command node eliminates Iran's real-time satellite surveillance capability over the Israeli-controlled theatre. The satellite was Iran's most significant intelligence collection asset against Israel, providing persistent overhead imagery unavailable through other means. In the same wave, the IDF struck: 50 ammunition bunkers at one of Iran's internal security forces bases; a Basij paramilitary force base; the headquarters of Iran's internal security forces; and a compound belonging to IRGC Ground Forces. The Basij are the regime's internal repression apparatus — a paramilitary force of several hundred thousand that has historically been used to suppress domestic protests and unrest. Hitting Basij infrastructure carries a dual message: military degradation combined with a signal to Iranian civil society that the regime's coercive apparatus is being weakened. The internal security forces HQ strike further degrades the Islamic Republic's ability to maintain domestic order during the war — a significant pressure point as public discontent grows.
