IDF: Iran's daily missile launches down 80% — 300+ of 500 launchers destroyed, 60% of stockpile

The IDF published a military assessment on Friday confirming that Iran's ballistic missile launch capacity has been severely degraded over the course of the conflict. On Day 1 (Saturday, February 28), Iran fired approximately 90 ballistic missiles at Israel. By Day 7, that number has dropped to around 20 per day — a 78% reduction. The IDF estimates it has destroyed more than 300 of Iran's estimated 500 ballistic missile launchers, representing approximately 60% of Iran's total stockpile. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper separately reported at his March 5 press conference that Iranian ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90% since the first day of the war, and that B-2 bombers had targeted deeply buried launcher sites. Iran's military source (Fars News Agency, March 5) said Iran has fired over 500 ballistic and naval missiles and almost 2,000 drones since February 28. Israeli analyst Yoav Zitun (Ynet) called the launcher destruction rate 'historically unprecedented for a non-nuclear air campaign.'
