US and Western officials brief reporters that Iran's air defence network has been 'significantly destroyed' and that Israeli and US jets are now able to fly uncontested over Iranian territory. Unnamed US and Western officials told reporters on Day 6 that the joint US-Israel campaign has achieved effective air supremacy over Iran. 'A significant portion of Iran's military capabilities has been destroyed. With air supremacy achieved, Israeli and US jets are able to fly uncontested over Iranian territory,' an official stated. This assessment — if accurate — means: (1) Iran's S-300, Bavar-373, and Tor-M1 SAM systems are no longer operationally effective; (2) The IRIAF (Iranian Air Force) has been grounded or destroyed; (3) Coalition aircraft can conduct more precise low-altitude strikes without high-altitude bombing constraints; (4) The conflict enters a new phase — systematic infrastructure destruction without meaningful Iranian air resistance. Iran's IRGC Air Defence Command has not issued any statement. IRGC ballistic missiles remain a threat even without air defence — air supremacy does not neutralise ground-launched systems.
