The Israeli military announced a series of strikes across Iran's capital targeting government infrastructure in what represents a significant escalation from military to political targets. Buildings associated with the Basij (IRGC volunteer force) and Iran's internal security command were hit. The IDF described this as the '10th wave of attacks against Iran.' Semiofficial Tasnim news agency reported explosions in multiple parts of Tehran, and Iranian state TV showed rubble of a building in central Tehran. The holy city of Qom and several other cities were also targeted. Five people were killed in Tehran attacks and schools were reportedly hit in Karaj and Isfahan. The IAEA confirmed damage visible at two buildings near the Isfahan nuclear site but no damage to nuclear material facilities and no radiological release risk.
