Iran strikes Qatar — missile barrage targets CENTCOM host state for third time

Iran struck Qatar for the third time during the conflict on Day 17 afternoon. Qatar hosts Al Udeid Air Base — the largest US military base in the Middle East — and CENTCOM forward headquarters, from which US operations against Iran are coordinated. Previous Iranian strikes on Qatar injured 16 on February 28 and triggered further explosions in Doha on March 11. CENTCOM head Admiral Cooper confirmed on Day 17 that Iran had carried out 300+ attacks on 12+ countries since the war began.
