Pakistan's PM Sharif and Turkey's President Erdogan discussed regional peace efforts and agreed to continue coordinating toward a durable ceasefire.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on April 8 in a call focused on the Iran conflict and regional peace efforts. According to Pakistan's Prime Minister's Office, Erdogan praised Pakistan's role in brokering the US-Iran ceasefire and both leaders agreed to continue working toward a durable regional ceasefire. The call came as Pakistan was playing an increasingly active diplomatic role in facilitating the Islamabad talks scheduled for April 10.
