IDF strikes IRGC Ground Forces base and mobile command HQs in Tehran; hits Tabriz missile storage

·Tehran / Tabriz, Iran

The IDF disclosed that during its D33 wave of strikes on Tehran, the Israeli Air Force bombed a key IRGC Ground Forces base ('a central unit within the regime's military forces') and struck multiple Iranian mobile command structures while commanders were actively operating inside. Iran had begun moving its security headquarters to mobile units in response to sustained strikes on fixed command centers. The IDF also struck ballistic missile storage sites in Tabriz in northwestern Iran.

In a D34 morning disclosure, the IDF provided new details about its D33 strike wave on Tehran and northwestern Iran: 1. IRGC Ground Forces base, Tehran: The Israeli Air Force bombed a base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Ground Forces. The IDF described it as 'a central unit within the regime's military forces.' This represents targeting of Iran's conventional ground force command, not just the IRGC Navy or missile corps. 2. Mobile command HQs: 'Earlier this week and again today, the military says it has identified that Iran has been moving its security headquarters to mobile structures, following strikes on many of its command centers during the war.' The IDF says it struck 'several of these temporary headquarters while Iranian commanders were operating at the sites' — i.e., active targeting of commanders in transit, not just empty facilities. 3. Tabriz — ballistic missile storage: IDF struck ballistic missile storage sites in Tabriz, Iran's fourth-largest city in Azerbaijan Province (northwestern Iran). Tabriz storage sites represent secondary missile arsenal reserves, away from the central Iranian plateau cluster. The Iran military's Khatam Al-Anbiya spokesman Lt. Col. Zolfaghari responded: 'The centers you think you have targeted are insignificant, and our strategic military productions take place in locations of which you have no knowledge and will never reach.' He asserted hidden production and storage capacity. Source: Times of Israel April 2 live blog (IDF statement, 08:15 UTC).
