IDF issues evacuation warning for Sejoud, south Lebanon — orders civilians north of Zahrani River

The IDF's Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent evacuation warning on 27 March 2026 for residents of the village of Sejoud in southern Lebanon: 'Hezbollah activities force the IDF to operate against it with force in the village. The IDF does not intend to harm you. For your safety, evacuate your homes immediately and move north of the Zahrani River.' The Zahrani River runs approximately 20-25 km north of the Litani River, suggesting IDF operations expanding significantly beyond the Litani zone that has been the focus of ground operations. Previous evacuation orders directed residents to north of the Litani; the new Zahrani standard represents a major northward expansion of the IDF's operational envelope toward Sidon.
