11-year-old girl suffers cardiac arrest during rocket sirens in Safed — serious but stable after resuscitation

At shortly after 6 a.m. local time on 26 March 2026, an 11-year-old girl suffered a cardiac arrest during incoming rocket sirens in Safed (Tsfat) in northern Israel. Magen David Adom medics who responded to the scene found the girl with no vital signs and administered life-saving treatment including defibrillation until her heartbeat was restored. She was taken to Ziv Medical Center in serious but stable condition. Safed is in the northern Galilee region of Israel and is subject to Hezbollah rocket and drone sirens.
