Uri Peretz, 43, from Nahariya, was killed by a Hezbollah rocket strike on 26 March 2026. The Nahariya city council confirmed he was a local resident, survived by his parents, wife, and four children. Magen David Adom confirmed his death and treated 14 physically wounded (1 man in his 50s in moderate-to-serious condition, 13 others in good condition from shrapnel and blast) and 11 for acute anxiety — all 25 taken to hospital. The rocket struck the parking lot of a residential building in Nahariya, a coastal city ~10 km south of the Lebanese border. The attack was part of a day in which Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets at Israel.
