·Bint Jbeil, Lebanon

Five Hezbollah anti-tank missile operatives were killed in IDF strikes on two command centers in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon earlier this week, the IDF confirmed. The 91st 'Galilee' Regional Division is conducting focused ground operations in the area to create a 'forward defensive space.' Additional strikes last night hit anti-tank missile launch posts.

The IDF announced that five Hezbollah anti-tank missile operatives were killed in strikes on two command centers in the southern Lebanese village of Bint Jbeil earlier this week. The operation was conducted by forces of the 91st 'Galilee' Regional Division as part of focused ground operations in southern Lebanon, which the IDF says are designed 'to create a forward defensive space and to protect northern residents.' In additional strikes the previous night, the IDF struck several more Hezbollah sites in the area including anti-tank missile launch posts. Bint Jbeil is a Hezbollah stronghold in southern Lebanon, approximately 5 km from the Israeli border. It was the site of intense fighting during the 2006 Lebanon war. The anti-tank unit targeting is part of Israel's effort to suppress the threat posed by Hezbollah's Kornet and other guided anti-tank missiles against IDF ground forces and Israeli communities along the border.
