Hezbollah projectile hits Nahariyya — 6 injured, building heavily damaged, car destroyed

·Nahariyya, northern Israel

At least one projectile fired from Lebanon struck Nahariyya on Israel's northern coast, injuring six people, MDA confirmed. A building was heavily damaged and a car destroyed. The strike is separate from the Iranian ballistic missile salvos and reflects Hezbollah's continued fire on northern Israeli towns as IDF ground forces operate in southern Lebanon.

At least one projectile hit Nahariyya on Israel's northern coast on Day 17 evening, CNN reported citing MDA footage (~18:30 UTC). Video showed flames coming from a heavily damaged building and a destroyed car in the city, which lies a few kilometers south of the Lebanese border. Nahariyya is a coastal city of ~65,000 in the Western Galilee district, regularly targeted by Hezbollah fire. The strike is consistent with Hezbollah's ongoing rocket and anti-tank missile campaign against northern Israeli towns as IDF ground forces operate in southern Lebanon. MDA emergency medical services and fire brigades responded to the scene. No casualties were immediately confirmed. The Nahariyya hit follows earlier Day 17 Hezbollah rocket fire at Kiryat Shmona and the Galilee Panhandle. The IDF's 91st Division ground operations in southern Lebanon have not suppressed Hezbollah's ability to fire on Israeli coastal communities.
