IDF Chief Zamir: 'many thousands' of Iranian soldiers and commanders killed — 'no one is immune'

·Tel Nof Airbase, Israel

IDF Chief of Staff Zamir to pilots at Tel Nof Airbase: 'We have eliminated many thousands of the regime's soldiers and its commanders.' Says IDF will 'weaken the axis of terror from the head in Tehran to its central arm in Beirut.' Hezbollah 'will pay the price for standing alongside Iran.'

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir told pilots during a visit to the Tel Nof Airbase that Israeli strikes have killed 'many thousands' of Iranian soldiers and commanders. 'We are in a campaign that is deepening the damage to the Iranian regime and its foundations and pushing the threat further away over time. So far, we have eliminated many thousands of the regime's soldiers and its commanders,' Zamir said. He warned: 'I say from here as well to all our enemies: No one is immune. We will know how to reach anyone who tries to harm the citizens of the State of Israel.' On the Lebanon front, Zamir said the IDF will continue to 'weaken the axis of terror, from the head in Tehran to its central arm in Beirut,' adding that Hezbollah 'is paying the price for standing alongside Iran. We will not give up on disarming it; this campaign will help us accelerate this.' The 'many thousands' killed figure — if accurate — would significantly exceed previous estimates and suggests the IDF is counting not only senior commanders but also IRGC enlisted and conscripted Basij militia members killed in strikes. CENTCOM separately confirmed 5,500+ targets struck inside Iran.
