17 killed in IDF strikes across south and east Lebanon — al-Shahabiya, Tamnin al-Tahta, Bint Jbeil

Lebanese health authorities and state media reported at least 17 people killed and dozens wounded in Israeli airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon on the morning of March 11. In al-Shahabiya, a town in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, Israeli strikes 'resulted in the martyrdom of seven citizens and the injury of 11 others,' Lebanon's health ministry said in a statement carried by the official National News Agency. In the eastern Beqaa Valley, a strike on the town of Tamnin al-Tahta killed seven and wounded 18, while a separate strike in Ali al-Nahr wounded five more. In the Bint Jbeil area of southern Lebanon — a historically significant Hezbollah stronghold — three more people were killed in an early morning strike. The IDF had not commented on the strikes at the time of reporting. The strikes across Tyre district, Beqaa Valley, and Bint Jbeil represent simultaneous IDF operations across three distinct Lebanese fronts. The Tyre district strikes come days after IDF issued evacuation warnings for Tyre and Sidon. Tamnin al-Tahta in the Beqaa Valley is in the heartland of Hezbollah logistics routes from Syria — consistent with IDF targeting of supply lines. Bint Jbeil has been a Hezbollah command area since 2006. The 17 killed brings Lebanon's daily toll back to significant numbers after several days of lower-reported casualties.
