IDF launches overnight wave on Beirut Dahiyeh — after reiterating evacuation warning

·Dahiyeh, Beirut, Lebanon

IDF announces wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut's southern suburbs (Dahiyeh). Comes after IDF reiterated Tuesday evacuation warning for the area. Further details to follow. Part of expanding Lebanon campaign — IDF has said Lebanon operations may outlast the Iran air campaign.

The IDF announced it has launched a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut's southern suburbs — the Dahiyeh district, Hezbollah's urban stronghold in south Beirut. The strikes came after the IDF reiterated its evacuation warning for the Dahiyeh on Tuesday, giving residents additional notice before the overnight wave. The IDF said further details on the targets struck would be provided later. The overnight Dahiyeh wave is the latest in an escalating pattern on the Lebanon front: IDF has already struck Dahiyeh earlier on Day 11, killed Radwan Force commanders at Rab al-Thalathine, issued evacuation warnings for Tyre and Sidon, and declared intention to 'dismantle Hezbollah once and for all.' President Herzog warned Hezbollah 'doesn't understand what awaits it.' The combination of overnight Dahiyeh strikes with imminent Tyre/Sidon operations suggests the IDF is expanding from southern Lebanon ground operations toward targeting Hezbollah's Beirut-based command infrastructure in parallel.
