Second Yehud cluster bomb victim dies — Israeli civilian death toll rises to 12

·Yehud, Israel

A second victim of yesterday's Iranian cluster bomb strike in Yehud has died at Sheba Medical Center. Rustam Golumov confirmed as first victim. Second man's name not yet released. Both were construction workers, neither in a shelter. Total Israeli civilian deaths in the war: 12.

A second person has died from the Iranian cluster bomb strike that hit a construction site in Yehud on Day 10. Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg confirmed the death in a statement, saying the victim died this morning at Sheba Medical Center. The first victim, Rustam Golumov, was identified yesterday. The second victim — a Petah Tikva resident — has not yet been named. Both men were working at a construction site when an Iranian ballistic missile carrying cluster bomb munitions struck the area. Neither was in a bomb shelter at the time, according to first responders. The strike is the deadliest single Iranian attack on Israeli civilians in the 11-day war. The two deaths bring the total Israeli civilian fatality count to 12. The use of cluster munitions — banned under the Convention on Cluster Munitions (which Iran has not signed) — against a civilian work site has drawn condemnation internationally. The Yehud strike remains the deepest and most lethal Iranian munitions impact on Israeli civilian infrastructure since the war began.
