The IDF launched a new wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut's southern suburbs — the Dahiyeh — following repeated evacuation warnings for residents of the area. The military said it struck 'Hezbollah infrastructure' in the strikes. Dahiyeh is Hezbollah's primary stronghold in Beirut, housing the group's political headquarters, media operations, command centers, and financial infrastructure. The IDF has been striking Dahiyeh since the start of the Lebanon front, destroying approximately 30 multistory buildings. The fresh wave follows the IDF's issuance of specific neighbourhood-level evacuation warnings for Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, Tahwitat al-Ghadir, and Shiyyah. The Dahiyeh strikes come alongside IDF evacuation warnings for Tyre and Sidon — signalling a comprehensive expansion of the Lebanon front from south Lebanon ground operations to Beirut's urban core. Combined with the IDF's assessment that the Lebanon campaign could outlast the Iran air campaign, the Dahiyeh strikes suggest Israel is pursuing Hezbollah's urban command infrastructure regardless of Iranian ceasefire prospects.
