Australia confirms 3 AUKUS personnel were on USS Houston during Iris Dena sinking
Australian PM Anthony Albanese confirms that three Australian Defence Force personnel were aboard USS Houston SSN-713 as part of an AUKUS submarine training program when the submarine sank the Iranian frigate IRIN Iris Dena in the Indian Ocean on March 4. Albanese states no Australian personnel participated in any offensive action against Iran.
