Lebanon: 7 children killed in Israeli strikes in last 24 hours — Health Ministry

Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health released a statement confirming that among those killed in Israeli strikes in the past 24 hours, at least 7 are children. The strikes have focused on Dahiyeh (Beirut's southern suburbs — Hezbollah stronghold) and Khiam in southern Lebanon, where IDF ground forces are engaged. Israel says it is targeting Hezbollah military infrastructure. Human rights groups report that residential buildings housing Hezbollah operatives are being struck without adequate warning — Lebanon's civil defence says 12 buildings have been struck in the past 24 hours. Hezbollah has evacuated most of its command structure from Dahiyeh but families remain. The Lebanese government has called for an emergency Arab League session. MSF has two surgical teams in Beirut's southern suburbs but reports difficulty accessing areas under active bombardment. Lebanon's total casualty toll since the conflict began: over 340 killed.
