Following the mass evacuation order for Beirut's southern suburbs, the IDF launched strikes on the Dahiyeh district targeting Hezbollah military infrastructure. Israel confirmed killing Hussein Makled, identified as head of Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters, in the strikes. Al-Manar TV, Hezbollah's media arm, was targeted — its headquarters struck for the second time this conflict. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, speaking at the Lebanon border fence, declared: 'You wanted to bring hell upon us and brought hell upon yourselves. The Dahieh will look like Khan Younis.' Hezbollah responded through an IDF Arabic spokesman statement calling the Israeli action an 'official declaration of war by Hezbollah,' vowing to 'neutralize' the threat. Lebanese PM called an emergency cabinet session. Roads in Beirut remained jammed with tens of thousands of displaced residents who fled to schools and Martyrs' Square.
